The Islands of Vendée

Not far from Yelloh! Village la Chênaie Pornic France, the Vendée Islands can be visited by bicycle or on foot.

The Ile de Noirmoutier is a nice place of ​​the Vendée, about fifty kilometers from the campsite.

It is accessible either by the famous "Passage du Gois", paved road that appears at low tide, or by a bridge. Both are free.

Succumb to the breathtaking views of the ocean, the state forests, dunes and countless large natural reserves ... You will also discover the sandy beaches such as the "Plage des Dames" (Ladies Beach). "Le port de l'Herbaudière" (L'Herbaudière harbour) is a stage. You will find some nice bars and refreshment and many quality restaurants: combine good humor and good food.

The island of Yeu focuses on its 23 km2 of land area, a wide variety of sites to discover.

It is located a little less than 2 hours from the campsite.

Yeu Island has been inhabited for 5000 years, many prehistoric remains have been preserved: dolmens, menhirs, stone wells.

With friends, family or couple, you will enjoy the landscape for hiking and cycling.

Maritime crossing to Yeu Island are done by two companies:

- "La Compagnie Yeu Continent" from Fromentine all year, aboard a catamaran NGV (30 min) or mixed Coaster (1:10).
- "La Compagnie Vendéenne" from Fromentine (45 min), from April to September and during the Thanksgiving holiday or St Gilles Croix de Vie (1h) from April to September.
